SAM MORRIS

Cat Cohen Alumni

Sam is a Santa Monica based singer/songwriter hailing from a blueberry farm in Maine.  In the Fall of 1999, Morris, then a 24-year-old athlete and musician, had his life change in an instant. Only two months after leading a 4,000 mile bicycling tour for a group of teenagers, he was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. His music is a testimony to his healing process. Morris is donating 10% of the sales of his debut CD "Chasing Miracles" (A paraplegic singer and guitar slinger who takes you on his healing journey with a classic rock vibe) to Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to seriously wounded veterans.

After the accident, Sam threw himself into his music. “Chasing Miracles” is a collection of songs to inspire. Sam is living proof that what doesn't kill you can make you stronger.

Sam's unique classic rock and blues vibe is highlighted by top-notch production along with his unique vocal performance and guitar playing. His music has been featured on TMZ, Tyra, Ellen, Extra, and Dr. Keith Ablow.

Sam studied songwriting privately with Cat Cohen and hosted several of his song structure workshops.

Morris’ music can be heard at www.cdbaby.com/cd/sammorris or by by visiting
