Ed is a producer, engineer, guitarist and songwriter with over 30 yeas of experience in the Los Angeles area.  Edward has produced over 70 indie CDs in the Americana, blues, folk, and country categories, including two Corey Stevens CDs that were top five on Billboard’s Blues Chart, a #1 on the European country charts with Lisa O’Kane, and acclaimed Brad Colerick and David Serby CDs.

He has recorded and toured with Spencer Davis, Rita Coolidge, Juice Newton, and Al Stewart.  The recently released Spencer Davis CD So Far contains 11 new Davis/Tree compositions. 

Tree has produced and played guitar on CDs for several Cat Cohen alumni including Allan Frank, John O’Hara, and Alexandra Celano.  

For several years Cat Cohen sent many of his students to work with Ed Tree and was always pleased with the results.  When Cat decided to record his own CD, “Songs Of Survival and Sweet Surrender” he followed his students’ example.   For the independent singer-songwriter, one could not ask for a more skilled, motivating, and supportive producer.
