Franklin is the founder of the Los Angeles Songwriter’s Co-Op, a songwriting organization dedicated to helping songwriters improve their songcraft.  He is currently a partner with Alan Roy Scott in the Unisong International Songwriting Contest which is currently in its 11th year.  Franklin continues to write songs with Musion, a songwriting team which includes Alex Del Zoppo, John Allan, and Mony Jackson.  Musion writes Adult Alternative songs for Film and TV placement.  Franklin is a multi-instrumentalist who led the world music group Pegasus Project. 

Cat Cohen has been a frequent guest speaker and song critiquer at Spicer's Songwriters' Co-op.
